Hongxi Li (b. 1996, Xiamen, China) is a London-based artist whose concept-driven practice examines how social systems shape behaviour, emotion, and the body within post-communist and Sino-capitalist contexts. Drawing on familiar objects from furniture to architecture, she creates installations that frame performance narratives. Central to her work is Jolene, a recurring fictional character through whom Li explores social roles, aspiration, and emotional tension.
